Summer Staff Positions
Counselor - Supervise and guide a group of campers through weekly programs. Responsible for planning daily activities, conducting Bible Study and assisting with worships. Will work on-site with one of five programs as well as with the On the Road program in local communities.
Food Service Assistant - Work with Food Service Director to help prepare and serve meals in the main dining facility, pack out meals and assist campers to cook over open campfires as needed. Assist with camp games and evening campfires.
Health Care Manager - Responsible for the health and safety of campers and staff. Need to be available at al times to administer camper medication and first aid, and treat illnesses and injuries. Assist with worship and other activities as available. Minimum of advanced First Aid and CPR training required.
Canteen/Craft Coordinator - Work with Food Service Director to stock and maintain canteen. Develop craft projects, supervise and maintain craft shack. Assist with camp games and worships.
Naturalist - Work with staff to provide awareness and education of creation and the natural gifts of GEV property. Develop and lead nature related activities and hikes. Care for camp farm animals and oversee garden. Assist in other areas of camp as needed and available.
Videographer - Responsible for taking pictures and video throughout the week and developing video to be sold to campers. Requires much independent work and creativity. Assist with games, worships and other camp activities as needed.
Leadership Positions - Responsible for overall supervision of programs, staff and campers both on and off site. Serve as a representative of GEV to pastors, youth directors, education directors, congregations and parents. Some positions do include serving as a counselor as needed. Areas of leadership include Pathfinder, Pioneer, Explorer and Log Lodge Villages and On the Road director. Previous GEV experience and 21 years of age preferred.
