Sr. High Programs

Move beyond your comfort zone! Our Sr. High programs challenge campers to truly live in community as they learn more about themselves, their faith and their God. Each week offers campers the chance to grow in their faith while they experience a more rustic setting. These weeks aren't about the "next big thing" - instead they are about the One thing that matters!

Explorers
completed grades 7-9

A community experience in a rustic setting. Explorers stay in covered wagons and prepare seven of their meals over an open fire. In addition to the daily activities of Bible Study, worship, games, hiking, crafts and campfires, Explorers take an afternoon canoe trip and camp out at a local campground. Designed to be a small community, campers are not assigned to a specific counselor, however a 1 counselor:8 camper ratio is maintained.

Outpost
completed grades 8 & 9

Outpost is the most rustic of the on-site programs. Ten campers and two staff members set up their own tent camp site on the property, creating their own camp community. All meals are packed out and prepared by the group. This program has a more relaxed schedule with the group determining daily activities. In addition to meals, worship and Bible Study, possible activities include hiking, creek splashing, service work, games and campfires. This week provides a great opportunity to explore faith questions more in-depth and grow as a community.

Staff-in-Training

completed grades 10-12

This is a three week leadership training program. One week of the program is spent learning what it means to be a camp staff person. Topics covered include leading Bible Studies, worship planning and leading, game leading, how to cook over the fire, devotion planning, and how to work with campers. SITs are then welcome to spend two more weeks during the summer serving as a junior counselor with a group of campers. The week of training is required for this program.

Training Week is June 13-18, 2010

Youth Servant Leader Institute
completed grade 10

This year-long commitment begins with a week at camp. The YSLI program is designed to help raise up youth leaders in the church, providing training to implement a project or program in a participant's home community.
